About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP - Division Manager for its Homebuilder Mortgage Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mortgage division, managing and developing branch staff, and ensuring the division meets high standards of customer service, volume, and profitability. This role involves day-to-day operations management, including the origination of various loan types, strategic planning, and goal setting. The VP Division Manager will also be involved in the hiring and training of new associates, as well as acting as a liaison between the homebuilder and mortgage division. Applicants must have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience as a branch manager, with a strong background in mortgage operations and a minimum of 4-5 years' in application and processing or equivalent mortgage experience. The role requires current knowledge of closing and title requirements, loan processing, automated underwriting systems, and industry underwriting guidelines. A valid driver's license and transportation are also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong computer background, including experience in mortgage software, and be adept at problem-solving and providing support to both staff and customers. Regulatory compliance and quality control are key aspects of the position.
