Job Responsibilities

• Create Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and develop tailored therapy strategies to help them reach their functional ambitions.
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ evidence-based methods to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside other OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate Patients and Families: Instruct patients and their caregivers on therapy techniques to promote ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Evaluate and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes, making necessary adjustments to treatment to keep patients on track.

Educational Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Encouragement for ongoing education and post-graduate certifications

Licensing and Certification

• Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
• NBCOT certification is required
