Extrusion Process Engineer

We are seeking a results-driven Aluminum Extrusion Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations. In this role, you will analyze process data, troubleshoot surface and dimensional defects, and partner with die design teams to reduce scrap and boost yield. You’ll establish key process parameters—from billet temperatures to quench rates—while leading trial runs for new products, training production personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

 Develop, monitor, and optimize aluminum extrusion processes to improve productivity, quality,
and yield
 Analyze process data and implement improvements to reduce scrap, downtime, and defects
 Troubleshoot extrusion-related issues including surface defects, dimensional inconsistencies,
and die performance
 Collaborate with die design teams to improve tooling efficiency, life, and product quality
 Establish and maintain process parameters for billets, temperature profiles, press speeds, and
quenching
 Support new product development, including feasibility studies, trial runs, and process validation
 Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
 Train production personnel on process changes and best practices
 Maintain document control as related to the duties.

 Utilize various measurement tools for data gathering.
 Prepare and maintain reports as requested
 Comply with established safety rules
 Comply with company policy and procedures
 Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and
managers.
 Maintain acceptable attendance in accordance with company policy
 Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of the direct supervisor and/or manager
