- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and proactively drive new revenue generation across electrical and broader MEP and construction services.
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of high-performing and diverse electrical cost and estimating team members.
- Collaborate closely with internal service line leaders and project management teams to deliver integrated project solutions across commercial construction and MEP scopes.
- Prepare fee proposals and negotiate professional services agreements to support profitable and sustainable growth.
- Review and provide quality assurance on electrical and MEP cost estimates prior to client delivery, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project budgets.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on operational performance, business growth opportunities, and resource planning.
- Oversee team deliverables and coach staff to ensure high-quality output, effective quantity surveying, and strong cost consulting practices.
- Drive revenue growth across service offerings, market sectors, and regional portfolios, leveraging an established professional network and industry insight.
- Maintain accountability for financial performance and P&L results aligned with organizational goals and performance targets.
- Deliver timely business reporting, including forecasting, performance metrics, and financial analysis, to inform leadership decisions.
- Interpret financial results, including P&L statements, and report key insights and trends to senior leadership.
- Mentor and develop team members to support long-term growth, succession planning, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Review and approve invoicing and partner with finance teams on accounts receivable to support healthy cash flow and financial discipline.
- Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies to strengthen market presence and win new work.
- Provide clear leadership and direction within the assigned business unit, setting standards for delivery, collaboration, and client service.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the success of the business unit and the broader organization.
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience guiding senior-level professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated client relationship management skills, including experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to influence change and drive strategic initiatives across regional and cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing and executing business strategies and programs that support growth and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to establish accountability, track performance, and deliver measurable results against financial and operational targets.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across service lines, including project management, construction management, and finance.
- Established professional network within the construction, commercial construction, or cost consulting industry and commitment to staying current with industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop talent at multiple levels within a cost management or estimating function.
- Solid managerial and operational leadership experience, including oversight of P&L, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Track record of successful business development and revenue growth within cost consulting, electrical estimating, or related construction services.
- Hands-on experience with electrical estimating, MEP estimating, and cost consulting for commercial construction projects.
- Proficiency with Excel and other tools used for estimating, cost analysis, and project budget development.
- Background in quantity surveying, cost consulting, or construction management with a focus on electrical or MEP systems.
- Experience working on commercial construction projects, including development and management of project budgets and estimates.
- Familiarity with integrated project delivery (IPD) and lean construction methodologies and tools.
- Experience in an owner’s representative consulting environment or similar advisory role is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working within a process-driven environment that emphasizes quality assurance, structured estimating, and disciplined operations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex cost information and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to support and contribute to a progressive, growth-oriented consulting culture with a local feel and access to large, complex projects.
This is a full-time, salaried position designed around a standard 40-hour workweek and a culture that promotes work-life balance. The role is based on site in one of several office locations, including New York, Nashville, San Diego, or Scottsdale, supporting regional and national projects.
