Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Travel RN for our Surgical Transplant Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care, particularly in a Stepdown/PCU setting. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care with a focus on organ transplant patients, including critical and complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for a diverse population, including solid organ transplant patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and utilize critical thinking skills to identify decompensating patients.
• Perform wound/drain care, frequent lab draws, and blood product transfusions.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and provide central line care.
• Administer medications and manage drips for patients with various medical conditions.
• Engage in team collaboration to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-year acute care hospital experience in a Stepdown/PCU setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Preferred experience in solid organ transplant care.
• Knowledge of chest tube and tracheostomy management.
• Experience with high oxygen delivery modalities (Vapotherm/Bipap/CPAP) is a plus.
