Role: Process Engineer - Medical Devices 12 Month Contract with Potential for Extensions + Perm Location Onsite in Pleasant Prairie, WI Compensation $42/hr to $48.67/hr Benefits Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Bachelor's Degree from a four‑year college or university, or 6 to 8 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical Requirements Computer skills: Microsoft Office; Statistical Analysis Software (MiniTab / JMP) Ability to design and execute a Design of Experiments (DOE) Technical writing, including validations and technical reports Ability to analyze data based on statistical methods Problem‑solving skills Communication internally & externally Equipment specifications Manufacturing methods and procedures Product development Job Description Our client, a manufacturer of medical devices and flexible packaging solutions, is looking to add a Process Engineer to their Pleasant Prairie, WI site. The Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost‑effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; and coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. The senior engineer is expected to leverage their experience to mentor others, take the initiative to assist in plant decision making, and execute tasks with minimal supervision. Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; consulting with equipment vendors when needed; soliciting observations from operators. Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; consulting with equipment vendors when needed. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Create work instructions and validation documentation for pouch header bag machines and other automated packaging systems to ISO 13485 standards. Provide manufacturing decision‑making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provide manufacturing engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service when needed. Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies (where applicable).
