This position with APD will serve staff and management across the Agency. SALARY RANGE

$46,382.18 - $50,584.56 Annually $1,783.93 - $1,945.56 Bi-weekly Position Summary This is a responsible professional position of Community Affairs which involves contact with the community and customers for the Agency for Persons with Disability in an effort to fill unmet needs for the Agency’s customers. The Work You Will Do This position is responsible for spending the majority of their time supervising, communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work, and who have the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. Provides supervision to ensure that employment outcome data is tracked, along with coordinating and participating in disability mentoring activities in person throughout all counties of the region. Supervises staff to maintain a tracking of individuals participating in EEP and who are actively employed. Researches, coordinates and prepares grant applications including Employment Enhancement Project Agreements under the direction of State Office and Regional Operations Manager. Supervise staff to ensure that events and resources are input in the APD Online Community Resource Directory and shared with providers. Develops Region Wide Community Outreach Plan and updates plan quarterly or as needed. Develops new prospects, networking opportunities and collaborative partnerships that will promote the mission of the Agency. Coordinates community engagement efforts, maintains records of such outreach efforts, including Intra-Agency meetings and Inter-Agency collaboration activities. Represents the agency at quarterly transportation disadvantaged meetings for counties as assigned. Successfully complete the Best Practices in Supported Employment and the Introduction to Social Security Work Incentives Training courses. Provides Pre-service supported employment orientation training to providers in need. Assists, promotes and documents legislative outreach efforts under the direction of State Office and Regional Operations Manager. Assists in coordination of FCC recruitment efforts under the direction of State Office and Regional Operations Manager along with participating in their area monthly meetings. Participates in disaster planning and performs other duties as assigned. Submits regional success stories as requested. Serves as Regional ADA Coordinator for external stakeholders. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or its equivalent. Valid Driver’s License or other efficient means of transportation and willing to travel for work purposes. Two years of related professional experience. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of: Methods of data collection and analysis. Basic management principles and practices. Ability to: Collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices. Organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials. Conduct fact-finding research. Utilize problem-solving techniques. Understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities. Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Communicate effectively. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Direct Deposit Program As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program. Background Screening Requirement It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
