Job Title Sales Representative, Hendrick Chevrolet (Columbia) Location 100 Parkridge Drive, Columbia, South Carolina 29212 Job Summary Sells new or used vehicles at a profit while ensuring customer satisfaction. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Meet dealership sales goals Greet customers and determine desired make, type, and quality of vehicle Explain features and demonstrate vehicle operation in showroom or on demonstration drive Recommend optional equipment for purchase Compute and quote sales price, including tax, trade‑in allowance, and discount Complete paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including sales slip or contract Arrange for delivery and registration of vehicle Research availability of models and optional equipment Engage in business development activities Address customer concerns promptly Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area Participate in required training sessions Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system Follow safeguards rules and regulations Demonstrate the company’s Core Values Comply with company policies and procedures Observe all Federal, State, Local, and company safety rules in the performance of duties Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Education: GED or High School Diploma required; Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degrees are preferred Field of Study/Work Experience: Automotive, Accounting, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology Desired Work Experience: 0–3 years, 3–5 years, or 5+ years (preferred) Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired Valid Driver’s License Automobile Salesperson License (preferred) Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to learn web applications for customer management Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions; communicate effectively with customers and company personnel Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance required; shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing; frequent standing, walking, and sitting; moderate physical activity required Environment: Indoor and outdoor work including vehicle test drives; work performed on company premises and external car lot Verbal and Writing Ability: Read, comprehend, and present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings Math Ability: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense and handle standardized situations Core Values Servant Leadership Teamwork through Trust & Respect Integrity Commitment to Customer Enthusiasm Passion for Winning Accountability at All Levels Commitment to Continuous Improvement This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by this employee.
