Job Overview Responsible for processing trash and recycling according to local standards and covering intermittent duties in support of Operations throughout the day. Perform other duties as assigned. Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability. What We Can Offer You Merchandise discounts Performance‑based incentives Annual merit review Employee Assistance Program with mental health counseling and legal/financial advice What You Will Do Inspect, sort and bale all waste cardboard and plastic Maintain balers and compactor clear of trash that can build up and create a malfunction Maintain the dock area (area surrounding baler) General housekeeping duties Basic maintenance and changing of the MHE batteries Daily operation and general maintenance/cleaning of the sweeper Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities Who You Are High school diploma or equivalent (encouraged to apply) Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with colleagues Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Sense of urgency and ability to work independently Attention to detail and effective organization skills Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform Regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment This job description is not all‑inclusive and may not apply to colleagues covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
