Job Overview Responsible for processing of trash and recycling according to local standards and covering intermittent duties in support of Operations throughout the day. Perform other duties as assigned. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are typically scheduled 12‑24 hours per week. What You Will Do Inspect, sort and bale all waste cardboard and plastic Maintain balers and compactor clear of trash that can build up and create a malfunction Maintain the dock area (area surrounding baler) General Housekeeping duties Basic maintenance and changing of the MHE Batteries Daily operation and general maintenance/cleaning of the Sweeper Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. Who You Are Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with colleagues Must be able to: Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently Attention to detail and effective organization skills Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform Regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement: Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances.
