Job Description
Medical Assistant - Outpatient OBGYN

Schedule

8-hour shifts within the hours of 06:00-18:00. No weekend requirement.

Assignment Details

Floating to other locations may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years outpatient clinic experience.
• Minimum 1 year OBGYN clinic experience.
• Venipuncture experience required.
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program.
• Two supervisory references from within the past year are required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Clinical skills: venipuncture, specimen collection, OBGYN procedures (PAP, colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon, NST), rooming patients, vital signs, medication administration, urine testing, immunizations, intramuscular injections, and telephone triage.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Taking patient histories and performing specimen collection.
• Facilitating communication and escalation between patients, physicians, and staff.
• Assisting with various OBGYN procedures.

Compliance / Notes

Background/license issues must be fully resolved; any open/pending hits will be an automatic redirect. Previous permanent employees must have a separation of 24 months.
