Senior Accountant

Our client is a growing energy company looking for a Financial Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys more than just financial reporting and is comfortable jumping across different areas of accounting as business needs change. You’ll have exposure to the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, audit support, tax support, and operational accounting processes. What You’ll Do Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities. Prepare accruals, journal entries, and other month-end close activities. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in accounting records and reports. Research and respond to financial questions by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting accounting data. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for annual financial audits. Provide financial statements and supporting schedules to external tax advisors. Process monthly material transfers and related accounting activity. Prepare year-end depreciation, depletion, and amortization calculations. Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll during periods of increased workload or staff absences. Cross-train across accounting functions to provide coverage and maintain continuity within the department. Support accounting process improvements, system enhancements, and other department initiatives. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of financial accounting experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Oil & gas industry experience is preferred. Solid understanding of fundamental GAAP principles. Experience working across multiple areas of accounting rather than focusing exclusively on financial reporting. #J-18808-Ljbffr SNI Financial
