Showroom Assistant Location: Manhattan, NY Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site (5 Days per Week) About Luxury Home Textiles Founded in 2004, Luxury Home Textiles is a manufacturer, importer, and distributor of home textile products serving independent retailers, regional chains, and national retailers throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Showroom Assistant to join our team in our Manhattan showroom. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, customer interaction, and working in a fast-paced environment. Position Summary The Showroom Assistant plays a key role in creating a welcoming showroom experience while supporting daily operations, inventory management, sample coordination, and administrative functions. Responsibilities Customer & Showroom Experience Welcome buyers, vendors, and visitors with professionalism and hospitality. Offer refreshments and notify sales representatives of arriving guests. Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom. Ensure product displays, swatches, and showroom samples are properly organized and merchandised. Sample & Product Management Receive, track, label, and organize product samples and vendor shipments. Photograph new samples and maintain digital product files. Coordinate sample requests with the warehouse and prepare customer sample shipments. Monitor showroom inventory and ensure current product collections are displayed. Inventory & Administrative Support Generate weekly and monthly inventory reports. Track incoming containers and maintain inventory records. Verify receiving documents, invoices, and packing lists for accuracy. Prepare customer presentations, product catalogs, and PDF sales materials. Maintain organized filing systems and support daily office operations. Office Support Stock office and showroom supplies. Assist with general office organization and daily operational tasks. Work closely with sales, warehouse, and management teams to ensure efficient communication and workflow. Qualifications Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Professional, friendly, and dependable attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Proficiency in QuickBooks Ability to learn inventory management software. Ability to lift and move boxes and showroom materials as needed. Previous experience in an administrative, showroom, retail, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred.
