Career Area Sales Position Title Senior Strategy Consultant The Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD) provides governance and administration of Cat® dealers across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. As the Senior Strategy Consultant, you will lead the development and execution of the mid to long-term business development strategy with business partners. Additional Info Location: Dallas, TX (United States) Additional Location(s): Peoria, IL (United States) Required Travel: Up to 25% (Domestic & International) Relocation Assistance Offered: Yes US Work Authorization Sponsorship Offered: None Position requires on-site work five days a week Visa sponsorship is not available What You Will Do Leads cross-functional collaboration with business partners across the organization and outside consultants to gain industry trends and collect voice of the customer and voice of the business to propose ideas for business growth. Planning and directing all projects viewed as critical to department and the enterprise. Collaborating with clients on using a disciplined project management approach and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities. Requires broad experience in Project Management tools and processes, and ability to: facilitate projects, lead chartering sessions, lead integration and compression sessions. Designing, establishing, and monitoring the organization’s project management goals. What You Have (Required Skills) Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills) Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Strong project management experience. Previous dealer or distribution experience. Relative industry experience. Business development background, especially mergers and acquisitions exposure.
