People & Organization (HR) Advisor, Employee Relations Focused, Manufacturing Location: Wendell, NC. This full‑time position requires onsite attendance five days a week. The role reports to the P&O People Relations team and supports the day‑to‑day execution of people strategies while managing and resolving employee relations matters, promoting positive employee experiences, and ensuring consistent application of P&O policies. Responsibilities Foster a positive work environment by engaging employees empathetically, promoting open communication, and acting as a bridge between employees, leadership, and stakeholders. Spend time walking the floor for visibility. Facilitate dispute resolution: identify root causes of conflicts, provide counsel, and propose fair resolutions in compliance with company policies and agreements. Maintain an onsite presence that reflects the onsite employee and management populations. Provide training and promote a positive workplace environment through defined People Relations (ER) training. Apply a continuous‑improvement and efficiency mindset: diagnose bottlenecks in processes and systems, ensure accuracy, and recommend and implement improvements. Leverage People Analytics: monitor morale and engagement through multiple data sources, offer insights and trends to key stakeholders, and ensure accurate case documentation. Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders: use effective communication skills to build relationships as a responsive partner to internal and external stakeholders, drive complex issue resolution, facilitate conversations, and build proactive solutions. Proactively manage and resolve a broad range of People Relations issues, including investigations, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution, fostering trust and a respectful work environment. Guide policy interpretation: provide clear guidance and interpretation of P&O (HR) policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness at all levels. Act as the primary liaison between management and employees, ensuring concerns are addressed, feedback is communicated, and the overall employee experience remains positive. Provide performance‑management coaching: support supervisors and managers in day‑to‑day performance management, offering guidance on improvement, coaching, and conflict resolution. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5–7 years of experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing or distribution environment, with a strong focus on People Relations. 3–5 years of experience coaching and guiding managers on people relations, performance management, and conflict resolution. Ability to work primarily on site, covering multiple shifts if needed. Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and privacy, protect data, and use data responsibly. Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships through strong communication, interpersonal skills, and constructive conflict resolution. Critical thinking: leverage data to influence decision‑making, solve problems, and implement innovative HR solutions aligned with business goals. Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliverables while effectively meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, balancing quality and quantity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and building positive relationships with employees at all levels, and objectively summarizing investigations into concise narratives with supported recommendations. Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks while prioritizing effectively, remaining resilient when faced with barriers or conflict. Strategic thinking: leverage data to influence decision‑making, solve problems, and implement innovative HR solutions aligned with business goals.
