MRI Technologist Providence Portland Medical Center, Portland, OR. Full‑time evening shift. Sign‑On Bonus: $6,000 for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment in addition to the comprehensive benefits and compensation package. Job Summary The MRI Technologist performs Magnetic Resonance examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment and considering individual patient special or age‑related needs. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images. Responsibilities Conduct MRI examinations as ordered by physicians. Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively. Adjust imaging protocols based on patient needs and imaging factors. Ensure high‑quality images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Qualifications Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License upon hire (or temporary license). New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire. National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of hire OR National Certified MRI Technologist – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists within 6 months of hire.
