Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and development as a skilled Occupational Therapist. In this school-based role, you’ll work closely with educators and families to deliver quality therapy services near Puyallup, WA. Your expertise will help empower students to reach their potential academically, socially, and physically in a collaborative educational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in school settings or pediatrics as an Occupational Therapist
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and communication logs
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide guidance to school staff regarding student accommodations and strategies
- Foster engagement and participation in daily living and functional school activities
- Stay current on best practices, continuing education, and compliance with state and federal regulations
