Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician (Lube Technician)The Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician (Lube Technician) performs onsite preventive maintenance including lighter duty maintenance and repair services on a variety of rental equipment to ensure that the equipment continues to run according to manufacturer's specifications and is in optimal ready to use condition for rental customers.Principal Responsibilities And DutiesSafely operate a Class C service body type truck on public roadways, on and off road on customer jobsites in all types of weather and lighting conditions.Responsible for keeping the company truck and work site safe, clean, well maintained, and stocked appropriately.Record maintenance and repair work performed by completing necessary paperwork in a timely and detailed mannerPerform diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis on components and systemsPerform equipment inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns such as abuse, defects, and wear.Perform basic welding as necessary where applicable based on skill, knowledge and/or qualificationsComplete basic and advanced technical training as assignedMaintain parts and supplies needed for job completionMaintain a culture of safety, participate in all safety meetings, and having knowledge of and obeying all branch and jobsite safety requirements and practices.Must be able to interact with customers while representing a high level of customer service.Perform other service and maintenance related duties as assignedBasic Knowledge & CompetenciesExcellent customer service skillsBasic knowledge or training in automotive, diesel, equipment repair. Familiarity with machinery and/or equipment used in construction, distribution, or manufacturing industry a plus.Proficient mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, problem- solving & efficient time management skillsGood verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented.Previous Experience/EducationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredMechanical or trade school certificate preferred3 months + experience in equipment repair or related industry preferredWelding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience preferredMust be 18 years of age with a valid driver's licensePhysical RequirementsStanding, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basisMust be able to safely navigate and walk customer jobsitesAbility to lift up to 75 poundsWork in outside conditions in both cold and heat climatesMust furnish own tools
