Security Associate - 2nd Shift

Schedule (Open Availability Highly Preferred) Sun, Mon, Thur 5PM-1:30AM, Fri, Sat 7PM-3:30AM Sat-Wed 2PM-10:30PM Pay Range $18.50-$19.50 hourly Responsibilities Manage and properly document the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates. Be the face of Carvana to associates, vendors, and visitors. Lead with effective communication with team, partners, and customers, being a strong active listener and using effective dialogue. Conduct routine patrols of the Inspection Center and Logistics facility yard and buildings, documenting any security and/or safety concerns. Be trained and certified on first aid, CPR, and AED. Be available to support the team when needed. Work with the Safe and Secure Team Lead and Manager to resolve badge creation, CCTV review, and other components. Promote an incident‑ready focus; understand the incident response protocol and take appropriate actions. De‑escalate situations collaboratively, reflecting Carvana’s values of teamwork. Execute Safe and Secure Principles at entrance and exit points. Use the Safe and Secure Application (SAS App) and RFID technology. Deliver a service‑first approach in all interactions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven decision‑making in a complex environment. Ability to relate well with others and collaborate effectively. Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to handle conflict situations positively. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of CCTV, RFID, Card Access, and related technologies. Experience supporting an OSHA program—safety team. Experience supporting crisis prevention and/or response plans. Other Requirements Must read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be at least 18 years of age. Position is designated as safety‑sensitive. Must lift up to 60 pounds independently—primarily from knee to shoulder height; additional lifting from various levels may be required. Must carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet. Must stand for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and may have fumes or odors from vehicle maintenance. Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Requires the use of safety equipment (face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, protective garments). Requires frequent driving and computer data entry. Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance. Must man gates at all times; the facility operates 24/7.
