VP Controller

LHH has partnered with a financial institution in their search for a Vice President, Controller. This is a high-impact leadership role with significant exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to play a key role in the organization’s financial strategy as it continues to grow. Title: Vice President, Controller Work Model: Hybrid Location: Seattle, WA Responsibilities Lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting Serve as a strategic financial partner to executive leadership and the Board Oversee internal controls, audits, and regulatory reporting within a highly regulated environment Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team while scaling processes for growth Drive modernization of accounting systems and process improvements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required Senior-level accounting leadership experience within financial services (banking or credit union preferred) Proven experience managing teams and developing future leaders Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, and internal controls Hands‑on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative environment Compensation Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with employer match Paid holidays Paid vacation Paid sick leave Life and disability insurance Work Authorization Applicants must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
