Overview Oliver Wyman’s Private Equity team in North America is expanding and seeks consultants to support rapid growth. The team partners with private equity investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle – from opportunity identification through due diligence and post‑transaction value realization – delivering differentiated outcomes across the market. Practice and Focus Practice Group: Industrials and Business Services. Locations: Boston, Washington DC, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto. Roles Senior Consultant, Associate, Engagement Manager. Responsibilities The team delivers industry‑ and discipline‑specific knowledge, amplifying impact and shaping future strategies for clients. Consultants work across the full life‑cycle of private‑equity engagements, collaborating with senior leaders and clients to develop insights, recommendations, and execution plans. Senior Consultants Execute work streams from start to finish – structuring problems, synthesizing findings, communicating insights, and planning work. Develop research and analysis plans, mentor junior consultants, and evolve into a client‑facing subject‑matter expert. Associates Break down complex problems into discrete tasks, directing junior consultants, and orchestrating analysis. Work closely with clients and project members to progress projects and manage small teams, providing unique insights into chosen domains. Engagement Managers Lead and execute due diligence and post‑transaction engagements for private equity funds and portfolio companies, ensuring data‑driven, insightful findings and strategic thought leadership. Build strong client relationships and manage execution details. Qualifications Professional working experience with commercial due diligence in a management consulting firm. Experience working in industrials within private equity. Knowledge of customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.). Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English. Undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program. Proactive initiative and a curiosity to learn new skills. Creativity and the ability to generate novel solutions for client problems. Aptitude for analytical work, such as extracting insights from large data sets. Willingness to collaborate respectfully with a talented team. Compensation & Benefits Applicable base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $240,000, determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education.
