About the Corporate Section Mintz’s corporate practice offers a blend of comprehensive legal expertise and practical business counseling that enables our clients to clarify goals, find solutions and achieve results across varied business transactions. Our corporate attorneys advise clients on a wide variety of issues affecting commercial, financial and industrial enterprises, both publicly and privately owned. We cover every aspect of the private equity market, including fundraising and investment fund formation, direct investments, portfolio company management and acquisitions, and platform exits. Our clients include global commingled funds, independent sponsors, and family offices. Responsibilities Mintz is seeking an associate with 3+ years of strategic M&A and private equity experience to join our corporate practice in San Diego or San Francisco. Candidates must have experience with acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and private equity transactions. Candidates must have the ability to provide efficient legal service both independently and as part of a team, be willing to quickly integrate into our robust national corporate practice, commit to providing the highest quality of client service in support of a broad range of complex transactions and be dedicated to professional development consistent with this on-track partnership position. Strong academic credentials, excellent critical reasoning skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts are required. This role is designed for a lawyer who wants to build toward senior client‑facing responsibility in a growing, entrepreneurial platform. Qualifications Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA‑accredited law school Must be admitted or eligible for admission in California Must have 3+ years of strategic M&A and private equity experience, ideally gained at a leading national or international law firm Excellent written and oral communication skills Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings About Mintz Mintz is an Am Law 100 law firm with over 600 attorneys serving clients worldwide. The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $310,000. This position is bonus eligible. Mintz offers a comprehensive benefits package.
