Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 4th to 6th year Corporate Associate to join its San Francisco, California office. This is a 100 percent transactional role supporting a busy corporate practice on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters, with a meaningful emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. The firm offers a sophisticated national platform with a collaborative, partner led approach. Associates in this group are encouraged to take ownership of workstreams, develop strong client relationships, and grow with consistent mentorship and deal exposure. The Opportunity You will advise corporations and pass through entities on business transactions and outside general counsel style matters, including commercial contracts, entity governance, ownership transitions, formations, and financings. The role includes substantial M and A support, with the expectation that you can independently manage significant portions of transactions and coordinate efficiently with internal specialists. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 4th to 6th year Corporate Associate with: 4 to 6 years of relevant corporate and commercial transactional experience California Bar admission in good standing and a JD Strong drafting and negotiation skills across commercial agreements and corporate documentation Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, entity formations, and securities compliance matters Excellent academic credentials and writing ability Comfort taking ownership of workstreams and coordinating deal teams under partner supervision Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers high quality, broad based corporate work within a national firm environment while maintaining a practical, team oriented approach to getting deals done.
