Shift Manager – Wendy’s

Location: New Kent, VA

Pay: $17–$22 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Mid-shifts and nights, with strong weekend availability required

About the Role

We are looking for a strong, dependable Shift Manager to help lead our Wendy’s team in New Kent, VA. This role is ideal for someone who has restaurant or fast-food experience, knows how to keep a shift running smoothly, and can take ownership during busy mid-shift, night, and weekend hours.

As a Shift Manager, you will help lead the team, support great customer service, maintain food safety standards, and make sure the restaurant is clean, organized, and operating efficiently. We need someone who can step up, make good decisions, coach team members, and help create a positive work environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Shift Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading team members during assigned shifts
• Helping ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service
• Training, coaching, and supporting crew members
• Maintaining food safety and safe working procedures
• Managing labor, food quality, and shift performance
• Monitoring inventory and helping control waste
• Following and enforcing company policies and procedures
• Handling customer concerns professionally
• Identifying problems during the shift and taking corrective action
• Keeping the restaurant clean, organized, and ready for business
• Reporting to the Assistant Manager and General Manager

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is reliable, confident, and ready to lead. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and able to keep the team focused during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant, fast-food, or customer service experience preferred
• At least 1 year of restaurant experience strongly preferred
• Previous leadership or shift lead experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work mid-shifts, nights, and weekends
• Dependable, professional, and team-focused
• Able to stand and work on your feet for long periods
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous Wendy’s experience is helpful but not required
