Behavioral Health Technician BHT

Four Pillars Recovery is seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in Pinetop, AZ. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support patient admission, orientation, and daily treatment activities Monitor patient behavior, whereabouts, and safety precautions Conduct vital signs checks and specimen collection/testing when assigned Assist with hygiene and daily living care as needed Provide therapeutic support and use approved crisis de-escalation interventions Document observations and interventions accurately in the EMR Communicate patient concerns to the clinical team promptly Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Oversee clients care and treatment schedules Promote a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment Responsible for telephones and answering incoming inquiries regarding agency. Assist in case management activities to coordinate care across various services Assist with admissions, including searching patients and their belongings Complete all charting, notes, and documentation before the end of the shift MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma, GED or 1 year work experience Must be 21 years of age or older SKILLS Understanding of substance use disorders, withdrawal symptoms, and detox protocols Knowledge of co-occurring psychiatric conditions and behavioral responses Ability to recognize signs of deterioration or emergency and alert clinical team Proficient in crisis intervention and the use of de-escalation techniques Therapeutic communication skills including active listening, empathy, and boundary-setting Ability to facilitate basic therapeutic groups under supervision Cultural sensitivity and awareness of how background influences treatment engagement WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?
