Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgical ICU – Kansas

Start Date: August 26, 2026

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Patient ratios typically 1:2; 1:1 for high acuity patients including post-CABG cases.

Highlights:

• 26-bed Surgical ICU unit specializing in trauma, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical critical care patients
• Advanced equipment and procedures including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia therapy, and ECMO
• Collaborative night shift team consisting of 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech
• Experience with chest tubes, central lines, and critical medication drips
• Meditech EMR system
• Travel nursing opportunity at a large trauma facility

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state eligibility
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities preferred
