Position Summary:   

The Electrical Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role will require strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures.

Job description:

• Installation: Install new electrical systems, wiring, and equipment, following blueprints and specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, preventative checks, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, identifying the root cause and implementing solutions.
• Repair: Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, and equipment.
• Inspection: Inspect electrical systems and components for safety and compliance with codes and regulations.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Safety: Adherence to all Federal & State safety requirements, including but not limited to the Company’s safety programs
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Ability to be trained and maintain information in company’s CRM system
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to optimize electrical systems.
• Customer Service: Communicate with clients to explain issues, solutions, and outcomes, and recommend products and services.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a state-approved electrician apprenticeship program
• Valid electrician license or certification (as required by state/local laws)
• Proven experience as a journeyman or licensed electrician (2-5 years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment
• Familiarity with NEC, OSHA, and other safety standards
• Strong understanding of plumbing and HVAC

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds frequently
• Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, basements, and on rooftops
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, including hot mechanical rooms or cold outdoor conditions
• Use of hand and power tools for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting during equipment or maintenance installation
• Work may be performed in residential, commercial, or industrial environments
• Exposure to dust, noise, hazardous materials, mechanical/electrical equipment
• May require overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts depending on workload and emergencies
