Director of Operations – Requirements & Qualifications

7+ years of multi-unit restaurant operations experience (Fast-casual or QSR preferred)

Proven track record of new restaurant openings and franchise support

Experience building or refining SOPs, training programs, and operational playbooks

Strong understanding of food cost management, labor optimization, and unit-level profitability

Ability to travel extensively during franchise launch phase

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience

Director of Operations - Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive review of all FOH and BOH operations to identify gaps preventing scalable replication

Develop and finalize the operations manual, training materials, SOPs, and systems to serve as the franchise blueprint

Dial in portioning, cooking methods, COGS controls, and operational details to create a plug-and-play model

Oversee launch of new franchise and corporate locations, ensuring operational excellence from day one

Recruit, develop, and deploy a team of traveling trainers to support franchisee locations

Collaborate with culinary director on menu execution and procurement partners to maintain cost discipline

Obsessive about documentation, standardization, and replicability — you understand inconsistent SOPs kill brands at scale
