Construction Billing and Compliance Accountant Are you the go-to problem solver on project finances?
Do you enjoy turning complex costs into clear decisions? Can you balance rigorous compliance with fast-paced execution? If so, step into a pivotal role on a major commercial construction project in Bergen County, NJ, working side-by-side with a general contracting team.
Your missionSafeguard project profitability and compliance while keeping stakeholders fully informed.
How you’ll contribute- Prepare comprehensive project financial reports and dashboards
- Control budgets by monitoring costs, commitments, and variances
- Partner with project leadership on revenue recognition and forecasting
- Evaluate cost data to pinpoint savings opportunities and emerging risks
- Process subcontractor pay apps with complete and accurate backup
- Verify subcontractor insurance, bonds, and all compliance items
- Lead project invoicing and collaborate with AR to expedite collections
- Oversee certified payroll compliance and generate required reports
- Experience in construction or project accounting
- Proficiency with job costing and project financial control frameworks
- Comfort operating in a dynamic GC environment
- Detail-driven mindset with excellent organizational discipline
