Executive Director, Strategy, Cell Therapy

AstraZeneca seeks a Strategy and Commercial Executive Director to lead end-to-end strategy and commercial execution for cell therapy indications within its Cell Therapy Enterprise. This senior role drives clinical and commercial initiatives across a defined disease area, working cross-functionally with therapeutic units, R&D, and commercial teams to shape portfolio strategy and market readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional operations activities for product launches, new presentations, and lifecycle initiatives
- Develop and execute regional launch strategies aligned with global product strategy and regulatory plans
- Coordinate cross-functional site readiness activities across manufacturing, planning, regulatory, and commercial teams
- Serve as Regional Operations representative on Global Product Development Teams and Product Lifecycle Teams
- Monitor departmental KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of Supply Chain, Product Management, Commercialization, or Operations experience in pharma/biotech
- Demonstrated cross-functional project management leadership experience
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in matrix organizations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA) preferred
