Executive Director, Clinical Development (MD)

Gilead Sciences seeks an Executive Director of Clinical Development with an MD/DO to lead multiple myeloma cell therapy programs. The role involves overseeing clinical trial strategy, cross-functional collaboration, regulatory interactions, and team management within the Kite organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and oversee clinical trial portfolio across multiple myeloma programs
• Develop and implement clinical development strategy, Target Product Profile, and Clinical Development Plan
• Lead cross-functional steering committees and represent products in governance forums
• Direct clinical trial protocol design, study reporting, and regulatory documentation preparation
• Manage team of direct reports and lead scientific presentations at conferences and investigator meetings

Requirements

• MD or DO degree required
• 8+ years clinical, scientific, or drug development experience in biopharma or healthcare
• Board certification in hematology or medical oncology preferred
• Experience conducting phase 2-3 late-stage clinical studies in biopharma
• Multiple myeloma and cellular therapy experience strongly preferred
• Line management experience with direct reports required or preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and GCP/ICH guidelines
