Director, Clinical Development
Gilead
Gilead Sciences seeks a Director of Clinical Development to lead or support clinical trial programs in Inflammation/Fibrosis, particularly in liver disease indications. The role encompasses protocol design, medical monitoring, regulatory interactions, and cross-functional leadership across Phase 2-4 studies.
Responsibilities
- Provide or oversee medical monitoring for assigned clinical trials
- Lead or contribute to clinical trial protocol strategy, design, and regulatory submissions
- Support study start-up, maintenance, and closeout activities
- Represent Gilead at investigator meetings and external stakeholder interactions
- Lead scientific communication of trial results through publications and conference presentations
Requirements
- PhD or PharmD with 8+ years clinical, scientific, or drug development experience
- OR MD or equivalent medical degree with 4+ years relevant experience
- Experience in medical monitoring and clinical trial conduct
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams in life sciences or healthcare
- Strong scientific acumen, analytical abilities, and regulatory knowledge
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Willingness to develop expertise in liver disease or internal medicine
