Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts, 1845-0715 (36 hours per week). Weekend coverage required: 5-6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period. Float as needed based on unit requirements.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced 43-bed cardiac telemetry unit specializing in complex cardiac care
• Patient population includes congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and pre/post cardiac catheterization patients
• Hands-on experience with cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine), sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop procedures
• Epic EMR documentation with 24 hours of unit orientation provided
• Contract lengths available from 13-26 weeks
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina or Compact RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown settings
• Strong working knowledge of cardiac monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of cardiac drips
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to participate in Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignments and report during catastrophic events or disasters as needed
