Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Traveler experience - Strong skills in MS/Tele nursing - Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Experience with telemetry monitoring, both on-unit and remote - Ability to manage colostomy care, feeding tubes, and renal failure - Competence in blood product administration, phlebotomy, and PICC line management - Knowledge in isolation precautions and management of chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula - Familiarity with non-invasive airway management and oxygen delivery systems Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in MS/Tele float. The role involves caring for patients located within the emergency department who are waiting for inpatient beds. Patients may have various medical or surgical diagnoses. Travelers will be expected to handle a mix of MS/Tele cases and float to different areas as needed. The nurse-to-patient ratio is targeted at 1:6 for MS/Tele and 1:4 for PCU level patients. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend. This position requires participation in a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and may require reporting during emergencies. Patients may present with any medical or surgical adult diagnosis. Staffing and scheduling are flexible based on the operational needs of the organization. Staff will receive support from various interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must be comfortable with floating across multiple units. Effective communication and documentation skills are essential.
