We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Project Manager/Workforce Planning Consultant to lead strategic HR initiatives and drive operational excellence for a Long-term Contract position based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role will partner with HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen compliance, improve workforce planning, and support organization-wide people programs. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in HR policy, employee-focused project execution, and organizational development within complex environments.
Responsibilities:
• Lead human resources projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, priorities, and outcomes align with business and people objectives.
• Partner with senior HR leaders to develop and refine policies, programs, and governance practices that support a compliant and effective workplace.
• Oversee initiatives related to organizational development, helping teams adapt to change and improve overall workforce effectiveness.
• Monitor HR compliance requirements, including leave administration considerations such as FMLA, and recommend actions that reduce risk.
• Coordinate with managers and department leaders to assess staffing needs, support workforce planning efforts, and align talent strategies with operational goals.
• Create project updates, status reporting, and leadership-ready communications that keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Evaluate existing HR processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement practical solutions that enhance service delivery.
• Support people management initiatives by guiding leaders on program execution, accountability, and consistent application of HR practices.
• 7+ years of experience managing human resources projects or leading complex HR programs in a structured environment.• Demonstrated expertise in HR leadership, policy development, and compliance oversight.
• Strong knowledge of organizational development principles and workforce planning practices.
• Experience supporting people managers and advising leadership on employee-related initiatives.
• Working knowledge of FMLA and other HR compliance considerations affecting workforce administration.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver projects on schedule.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
