Since 1978, we have continued developing innovative practices that support sustainability and provide our partners with accurate quality data when it matters most.We are looking for a dependable and motivated Lab Assistant to support the daily operations of our environmental testing laboratory. This is an entry-level position, and no previous laboratory experience is required. We will provide the training you need to be successful.This role is primarily responsible for washing, drying, organizing, and returning laboratory glassware. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and helping a team operate efficiently.What You’ll DoWash and clean laboratory glassware according to established procedures.Dry, organize, and return clean glassware to the correct laboratory locations.Pick up and transport glassware between designated laboratory areas.Keep the glassware washing and storage areas clean, safe, and organized.Properly dispose of broken glassware according to established health and safety procedures.Monitor and restock laboratory supplies and other commonly used materials.Help maintain the general cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.Follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.Assist laboratory team members with other basic support activities as needed.Complete simple documentation or data entry related to assigned work.Work cooperatively with laboratory staff and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace.What You’ll BringHigh school diploma or equivalent.No previous laboratory experience required.Willingness and ability to learn established cleaning and safety procedures.Dependability and attention to detail.Good organizational and communication skills.Ability to follow written and verbal directions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to perform repetitive, hands-on tasks and remain standing for extended periods.Ability to work in a laboratory environment and wear required personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.Find Your Place at Pace - We need you - your curiosity, your talents, and your drive - to help us advance this important work.BenefitsWhen you join Pace, you commit to work that makes a positive impact on our communities and our world.
