Responsibilities Support veterinarians to provide high-quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Assist veterinarians and the medical team in maximizing productivity and maintaining positive patient flow. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with the state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians and assistants. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on medication and additional treatment options. Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems. Obtain relevant health history from clients and maintain accurate charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean, sterile, and organized. Mentor and support fellow team members. Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a veterinary technician. CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure encouraged. Experience in anesthesia, surgical assistance, and post-operative care. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to observe animal behavior and condition. Comfortable with anesthetic patient monitoring of ASA I‑III (preferred experience with ASA I‑V). Prepare animals and instruments for surgery. Collect laboratory samples (blood, urine, tissue) for testing. Perform laboratory tests (urinalyses, blood counts). Use digital radiography machines and advanced diagnostic equipment. Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian. Collect and record patient case histories.
