The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures. Shifts include: Monday - 12am-8am + Flex Hours Hourly starting wage: $ 32.70/hr (weekly pay!) Prosegur offers a whole suite of benefit options. We offer competitive wages and exciting company resources.Responsibilities:Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the postPatrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicleEnforce company and client policiesObserve, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control DispatchRespond to incidents in a quick mannerProtect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the postOne will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect lifeObserve, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presenceOfficers will remain on the post and wait until they have proper reliefProvide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerMonitor for irregular or unusual activitySecure facility and designated areasInvestigate and prepare reports on incidentsQualifications:Must have Law Enforcement/Military Police or Dept. of Corrections background.Must have your own 9mm Weapon?Must have excellent written and communication skillsMust be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behaviorHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMust at least 21 years of age?Armed Security License?Additional Requirements:Armed Security Officers must pass the following requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations.New York State Unrestricted License to Carry PistolNYS Armed Security Guard LicenseLaw Enforcement and/or Military backgroundArmed Security Officer Training Requalification (with the exception of "Exempt" Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS Department of Licensing):8 Hour NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course (non-firing) as required by Westchester County, New York47-Hour Firearms Training Course:7 Hours of classroom instruction on NYS Penal Law (Article 35)40 Hours of range training to include qualificationAnnual In-Service Training and Requalification (with the exception of "Exempt" Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS Department of Licensing):8 Hours of annual, in-service security training8 Hours of annual, in-service firearms training3 Hours of classroom instruction on the Use of Force5 Hours of range training with weapon qualificationDefense Tactic Training: 4 Hours of Baton / ASP Tactical TrainingCertification RequirementsArmed Security LicenseEducation RequirementsHigh School DiplomaAdditional Information / BenefitsPaid Holidays401K/403b PlanShort Term DisabilityDental InsurancePaid VacationLong Term DisabilityPaid Sick DaysVision InsuranceLife InsuranceBenefit offerings vary based on contract/roleTravel is required.The following screenings are required:Physical ExamCriminal Background CheckDrug ScreenThe following shifts are available:Day shiftNight shiftWeekend shift
