Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This role involves managing labor and delivery processes, post-partum care, and mother and baby care, ensuring the health and safety of both patients. The nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care during labor, delivery, and post-partum periods.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor mother and newborn health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-delivery care and newborn health.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in labor and delivery or maternal-child care.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and automobile for any required field work.

• Experience in Critical Access Hospital settings.
• Advanced certifications related to labor and delivery nursing.
• Previous experience in post-partum and newborn care.

• Work involves direct care in labor and delivery and post-partum units.
• Must be able to collaborate closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• May require flexibility for on-call duties or emergency situations.
