Commercial HVAC Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.Job OverviewInstallation: Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, and rooftop unitsMaintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, inspecting and replacing worn or damaged parts, and checking refrigerant levelsRepair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical faultsTroubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system malfunctionsRecord keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service callsCustomer service: Explain maintenance procedures to customers and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements as well as provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to service requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional mannerCompliance: Ensure compliance with appliance standards and OSHAEmergency repairs: Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficientlyGrowth: Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices, participating in training and professional development opportunities as neededEssential Duties- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters and inspecting equipment- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment- Test and balance HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations- Must be able to lift, move, and maneuver heavy equipment and components weighing up but not limited to 100 lbs., including lifting units and materials onto rooftops via ladders- Must be able to travel out of state with limited notice for emergency ticketsExperience & EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in HVAC technology or related field preferred2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong background in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systemsUniversal EPA certification required; additional certifications (e.g., NATE, R-410A) preferredStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, including design, installation, and troubleshootingExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutionsPhysical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment, including climbing, lifting, and working at heightsExcellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendorsClass E Drivers LicenseSkillsDemonstrated ability to learn new softwareOrganizational skillsPositive attitude; patient and flexibleAbility to work in a high-pressure atmosphereAbility to prioritize requests on a regular basis.Proficient MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel and WordKnowledge of basic building systems and componentsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including working with all levels of the organization.• Minimum 10+ years leadership experience focused on retail store or web merchandising and supply chain
