Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Positive Change Therapy, LLC, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans based on established standards of care, incorporating a variety of assessment tools, tests, and measures.
• Implementing interventions designed to restore and maintain functional mobility, alleviate pain, and prevent permanent disabilities through best practices in physical therapy.
• Documenting each patient interaction, including evaluations and treatment sessions, within our electronic medical record system, ensuring accuracy in billing procedures.
• Performing necessary screenings to determine the need for rehabilitative services for conditions such as lymphedema and fall risks.
• Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care Plans that reflect the evolving needs of patients while engaging in education efforts by supervising students and interns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population consisting of individuals recovering from acute injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. The role also includes providing specialized care to pediatric patients, requiring adaptability and a comprehensive understanding of their developmental needs. Recognizing the social determinants of health, you will make informed interventions that align with each patient's unique environmental context.

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy and a robust knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• The ability and familiarity to effectively work with pediatric patients, addressing their specific therapeutic needs.
• Experience in both clinic and hospital environments, demonstrating comfort and competence in providing patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
