Logistics Operations Specialist

Position Overview North American Operations Specialist – North Chesterfield, VA. Pay: $18.00 per hour. Employment Type: Contract / Contract‑to‑Hire. Openings: 2. Available Schedules: Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1 opening) Friday–Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (1 opening) Responsibilities Track, trace and monitor shipments to ensure on‑time delivery. Maintain accurate transportation records and shipment documentation. Provide shipment updates to customers and internal teams. Monitor email, web portals, voicemail and transportation systems for shipment activity. Process transportation and customer information accurately. Review carrier invoices and verify billing accuracy. Apply transportation and accessorial charges when needed. Assist with daily logistics and administrative operations. Support internal departments with shipment information and operational updates. Maintain accurate data entry and documentation. Follow company safety, quality and compliance standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, customer service, operations or administrative support preferred. Freight forwarding or supply chain experience is a plus. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web‑based systems. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
