Bilingual Recruiter / HR Coordinator

Location: Santa Clarita, California — Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Entry Level / Early Career Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, personable, and highly organized Human Resources Coordinator / Recruiter to join a highly successful and rapidly growing Landscaping & Design company in the Santa Clarita area . The ideal candidate will be a bilingual English/Spanish communicator who enjoys working with people, has strong organizational skills, and is comfortable picking up the phone, networking, conducting interviews, and developing relationships with prospective employees. A significant focus of this position will be recruiting qualified English- and Spanish-speaking professionals and employees who can contribute to the continued growth and success of the organization. Key Responsibilities Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities for a variety of positions throughout the organization. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated openings. Recruit both English- and Spanish-speaking candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, community outreach, and other recruiting sources. Review resumes and applications and identify candidates who meet position requirements. Conduct initial phone and video interviews and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process. Develop relationships with prospective candidates and create a positive candidate experience. Help identify creative and effective ways to attract qualified candidates in a competitive labor market. Assist with creating and posting compelling job advertisements. Track candidates throughout the recruiting process and maintain accurate recruiting records. Coordinate background checks, reference checks, employment documentation, and pre-employment requirements as applicable. Assist with onboarding newly hired employees and ensure required paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Build relationships with local professional organizations, schools, trade programs, community organizations, and other potential recruiting sources. Human Resources Coordination Provide administrative support to the Human Resources function. Assist with maintaining accurate and confidential employee personnel records. Assist with new-hire onboarding and orientation. Help coordinate employee paperwork, HR forms, and documentation. Assist with maintaining employee information in HR systems and spreadsheets. Respond to routine employee questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate HR leadership. Assist with employee communications and HR-related projects. Help coordinate company meetings, training, employee events, and other HR initiatives. Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information. Assist with compliance-related HR documentation and administrative tasks. Support management and HR leadership with special projects as the company continues to grow. Communicate professionally and effectively with employees and candidates in both English and Spanish . Conduct candidate interviews and recruiting conversations in Spanish when appropriate. Translate or explain company policies, procedures, onboarding materials, and employment-related information when necessary. Serve as a professional communication bridge between management, HR, and Spanish-speaking employees. Help ensure that Spanish-speaking candidates and employees receive the same level of communication, professionalism, and support as English-speaking employees. Required Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish , with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and/or experience will be considered. 0–2 years of HR, recruiting, staffing, administrative, customer service, sales, or related professional experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Comfortable speaking with candidates by phone, video, and in person. Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company positively to prospective employees. Strong attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to learn HRIS, ATS, recruiting platforms, and other company systems. Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member. Preferred Qualifications Previous recruiting, staffing, HR assistant, or HR coordinator experience. Experience recruiting within the landscaping, construction, design, home improvement, property services, hospitality, or other field-service industries. Experience recruiting skilled trades, field employees, supervisors, managers, designers, administrative professionals, or other operational personnel. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and online recruiting platforms. Experience using LinkedIn, Indeed, social media, or other digital recruiting tools. Experience conducting bilingual interviews. Strong networking and relationship-building abilities. Ideal Candidate Profile Loves working with people.
