Assist with medication prior authorizations to support treatment plans and streamline patient management. Perform patient rooming and ensure accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system. Support clinical staff by completing tasks within the scope of practice, including some float within skillset as needed. Provide efficient and compassionate patient care in a specialty outpatient setting, primarily focused on GI services.Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical environment. Proficiency in patient rooming, in-basket management, and handling phone communications. Knowledge of medication prior authorization procedures. Ability to operate effectively with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC. Valid BLS certification. Current Medical Assistant certification (MA-C required; MA-R not accepted).Must have a valid state license, including any out-of-state or compact licensure if applicable. Reliable transportation is required to commute locally within a 50-mile radius. Candidates should be available for 5-day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Willingness to work scheduled holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day) as per the facility's policy. Prior experience in outpatient GI clinics is preferred. Candidates must be able to start ASAP and commit to the duration of the temporary-to-permanent assignment. Flexibility to float within scope of practice to meet facility needs.
