Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: LDRP Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, CST or NCCT, ND state license Must-Have: No clinical involvement Description: Department includes LDRP Tech and OB Tech. Certifications required are BLS, CST or NCCT, and ND state license. There is no clinical involvement. There is one suite. Common cases include vaginal and cesarean deliveries. A manager or charge nurse is present on each shift. The charge nurse takes an assignment. Shifts are scheduled by management. Weekend on-call requirements are every third weekend. Holiday requirements include working 2 holidays per year. OB techs may float to other areas as helping hands or safety sitters. There may be opportunities to float to the main operating room. Radius rule is 50 miles. Additional requests for time off are not approved after initial submission. Charting system used is EPIC. A BSN is not required. Licenses must be current for submission. The trauma level is 2. The care setting is acute. This position is within the Allied division.
