We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a 12-month locum opportunity in Arkansas. This assignment offers flexible scheduling with a minimum commitment of three shifts per month in a well-supported Emergency Department. Assignment Details Start Date: August 2026 12-month assignment Minimum availability: 3 shifts per month No call Schedule Monday Thursday 6:00 AM 3:00 PM 12:00 PM 9:00 PM 3:00 PM 12:00 AM 9:00 PM 6:00 AM Friday Sunday 6:00 AM 6:00 PM 12:00 PM 12:00 AM 6:00 PM 6:00 AM Practice Setting Emergency Department Level III Trauma Center Meditech EMR Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and treat emergency department patients Manage a broad range of medical and traumatic emergencies Collaborate with specialty consultants and APPs Provide high-quality emergency care in a community hospital setting Department Details Approximately 33,500 annual ED visits 20 Emergency Department beds 12 ICU beds Full specialty backup available Physician coverage: 36 hours/day APP coverage: 20 hours/day Requirements MD or DO Board Certified ABEM or ABOEM Active Arkansas medical license Arkansas DEA ACLS, PALS, ATLS Credentialing Approximately 120 days No expedited privileges available Ideal Candidate A residency-trained Emergency Medicine physician seeking flexible monthly scheduling in a busy, well-supported Emergency Department with strong specialty backup.
