Project Executive

The Fordy Group has partnered with a leading General Contractor to identify an experienced and strategic Construction Project Executive to lead and oversee its Commercial Division in the Portland, Oregon market. This executive-level role is responsible for driving operational excellence, client satisfaction, project performance, and team leadership across a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is a proven construction leader with deep experience managing large-scale commercial projects, building high-performing teams, and developing strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners. This individual will report directly to the Vice President and play a key role in the continued growth and success of the organization. Key Responsibilities Provide executive oversight for all commercial construction operations, including project execution, financial performance, scheduling, staffing, and client relations Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and operational teams across multiple projects simultaneously Collaborate closely with the Vice President to execute strategic growth initiatives and operational goals Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Drive accountability and consistency in project management processes, reporting, forecasting, and risk management Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and community stakeholders Participate in business development efforts, including client presentations, pursuit strategies, and contract negotiations Review and oversee project budgets, cost controls, change orders, and profitability metrics Support preconstruction and estimating teams during planning and procurement phases Champion a culture of safety, collaboration, integrity, and operational excellence Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred 10+ years of progressive commercial construction leadership experience, including oversight of multiple large-scale projects and teams Prior experience in a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role with a General Contractor Strong understanding of commercial construction delivery methods, contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and drive operational performance Experience overseeing projects in sectors such as healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, multifamily, industrial, or corporate commercial preferred Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Proficiency with construction management software and project controls systems What’s Offered Opportunity to join a highly respected and growing General Contractor with a strong regional presence Executive leadership visibility and direct partnership with senior leadership Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and vehicle allowance Long-term career growth and leadership opportunity within a collaborative culture About the Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a construction operations leader seeking a high-impact role with a reputable builder committed to quality, relationships, and strategic growth throughout the Pacific Northwest. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Fordy Group
