Salesforce QA Automation - Cypress & Chatbot Testing

We are currently seeking a Salesforce QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Scope of Services

•  Develop, maintain, and execute automated functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end test suites using Cypress and JavaScript or TypeScript.

•  Design test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, traceability, test data, entry and exit criteria, and release-quality reporting.

•  Perform manual and automated testing of Salesforce Service Cloud, Lightning applications, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Apex-driven functionality, security, permissions, and integrations.

•  Test Einstein Bots and other digital assistants across conversation flows, intents, entities, context variables, authentication, transactions, fallback behavior, error recovery, and bot-to-agent handoff.

•  Validate Omni-Channel routing, queues, skills, presence, transcripts, pre-chat context, escalation, agent workflows, and service-level behavior.

•  Test digital engagement channels such as web messaging, in-app messaging, SMS, and WhatsApp when in scope, including templates, consent, session handling, routing, and escalation.

•  Develop API and integration tests for REST, SOAP, middleware, event-driven interfaces, and downstream systems of record.

•  Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and establish repeatable quality gates, execution reports, and failure diagnostics.

•  Participate in refinement, sprint planning, reviews, defect triage, release readiness, and production issue investigations.

•  Document defects with reproducible evidence, assess severity and business impact, support root-cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.

Required Experience and Qualifications

•  Five to seven years of software quality assurance or quality engineering experience.

•  At least three years of hands-on test automation experience, with strong current expertise using Cypress.

•  Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript and experience designing maintainable automation frameworks, reusable components, fixtures, mocks, and test utilities.

•  Demonstrated experience testing Salesforce applications, preferably Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, Flows, Apex, LWC, Salesforce security, and enterprise integrations.

•  Demonstrated experience testing Einstein Bots, enterprise chatbots, virtual assistants, or conversational AI solutions.

•  Experience testing REST APIs and integration workflows using tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, SoapUI, or code-based API frameworks.

•  Strong knowledge of test design techniques, risk-based testing, regression strategy, defect management, test-data management, and quality metrics.

•  Ability to work independently and communicate test risks, evidence, and release recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Salesforce and Chatbot Testing Capabilities

•  Service Cloud testing across Case Management, Knowledge, Omni-Channel, routing, queues, console applications, entitlements, milestones, macros, quick text, and service analytics.

•  Validation of chatbot dialogs, intents, entities, utterance variations, context retention, branching, disambiguation, fallback, error handling, timeout, escalation, and human handoff.

•  Testing of authenticated and unauthenticated chatbot journeys, role-based access, sensitive-data handling, auditability, privacy, and negative-security scenarios.

•  Validation of multilingual and localized chatbot experiences, preferably English plus Spanish and/or Portuguese.

•  Cross-browser, responsive, accessibility, usability, and compatibility testing for customer and agent experiences.

•  Validation of operational chatbot measures such as containment, transfer, fallback, abandonment, response time, resolution, and customer-experience outcomes.

Preferred Tools and Experience

•  Selenium WebDriver experience and the ability to maintain or transition existing Selenium automation assets.

•  Tricentis Tosca experience, including model-based automation, reusable test steps, test-data management, and execution reporting.

•  Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Gearset, or comparable source-control, CI/CD, deployment, and test-management tooling.

•  SQL or data-query experience for back-end validation, reconciliation, and test-data verification.

•  Experience with test management and defect tools such as Azure DevOps Test Plans, Jira, Zephyr, qTest, or equivalent.

Performance Testing Experience: Plus

•  Experience using JMeter, PlayWright, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, NeoLoad, k6, or a comparable performance-testing tool.

•  Ability to design load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability scenarios for Salesforce-integrated applications, APIs, and chatbot services.

•  Experience analyzing response time, throughput, concurrency, error rates, bottlenecks, integration latency, and system behavior under peak demand.

•  Ability to produce performance baselines, findings, and actionable recommendations while accounting for Salesforce platform limits and test-environment constraints.

Preferred Certifications

•  ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or an advanced ISTQB test automation credential.

•  Salesforce Certified Administrator.

•  Tricentis Tosca certification or relevant performance-testing certification.

AI-Assisted Quality Engineering

•  Use approved AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor to accelerate test design, Cypress automation, API-test development, test-data preparation, debugging, refactoring, and test documentation.

•  Generate candidate test scenarios from user stories and acceptance criteria, then independently validate functional, negative, security, accessibility, integration, chatbot, channel, and regression coverage.

•  Use AI assistance to analyze failures, logs, selectors, flaky tests, automation gaps, and root-cause hypotheses, with human review before code is committed or results are used for release decisions.

•  Review AI-generated test code and artifacts for correctness, maintainability, privacy, security, traceability, licensing, and alignment with enterprise quality-engineering standards.

•  Follow enterprise policies for approved tools, confidential data, source code, credentials, prompt handling, and responsible AI use without weakening QA accountability or release evidence.

Expected Deliverables and Outcomes

•  Cypress automation framework enhancements and maintainable automated regression suites.

•  Approved test strategy, test plans, traceability, test cases, test data, execution evidence, and release-quality summaries.

•  Automated API and integration tests with repeatable execution and clear diagnostics.

•  Salesforce and chatbot validation artifacts covering positive, negative, security, accessibility, channel, escalation, and recovery scenarios.

•  CI/CD quality gates, automated execution reports, coverage metrics, and defect trend reporting.

•  Performance-test plans, scripts, results, and recommendations when performance testing is included in scope.

•  Knowledge transfer, runbooks, and support documentation for ongoing quality engineering and production support.

•  Documented, human-reviewed AI-assisted test assets, automation changes, and evidence of coverage and validation
