Associate Scientist, Product Development

Associate Scientist position supporting early-phase drug development at a San Diego facility specializing in small-molecule and peptide formulations. The role involves learning formulation and analytical techniques while developing preclinical and clinical drug products under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formulation development and characterization activities under supervisor direction
• Prepare reports, protocols, batch records, and quantitative analyses
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and review colleagues' work for compliance
• Execute experimental designs and develop problem-solving skills for experimental outcomes
• Comply with good manufacturing practices, safety protocols, and regulatory guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physical, chemical, biological, or pharmaceutical science
• Ability to perform laboratory tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds
• Experience in drug product development preferred
• Microsoft Office proficiency preferred
• Physical capability to walk, sit, stand, and use hands for detailed work

Compensation: $70,500 – $72,000 base plus bonus
