Account Representative

Compensation: $60,000 Base Salary + Commission Travel: Up to 25%, including approximately one overnight trip per month Position Summary A well-established manufacturer in the home furnishings industry is seeking an energetic and motivated Account Representative to support and grow retailer accounts throughout the Dallas market. Based out of the company's Dallas-area showroom, this role focuses on developing relationships with new and existing retail accounts, increasing participation in customer training events, and identifying opportunities to drive account sales growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in account management, inside sales, showroom sales, or a similar customer-facing sales role and be comfortable with proactive customer outreach, presentations, CRM management, and periodic field travel. This position offers a $60,000 base salary plus commission, with additional earning potential based on individual sales performance. Key Responsibilities Enroll retail accounts in customer training events, which serves as a primary performance objective for the position. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective retail accounts. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and identify opportunities to support account growth. Maintain a structured daily schedule of outbound calls, emails, follow-ups, and other customer outreach. Create and publish a monthly schedule of virtual customer sessions covering sales opportunities, product updates, promotions, and upcoming events. Conduct virtual and in-person presentations with customers. Plan and conduct monthly field visits to support customer development and sales growth. Travel within the assigned market, including occasional multi-day and overnight trips. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, account activity, sales opportunities, and competitive intelligence within the CRM. Evaluate account sales potential by product and competitor and review findings with management. Identify opportunities to increase engagement and sales within existing and prospective accounts. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in account management, inside sales, showroom sales, or a similar customer-facing sales role required. Strong relationship-building and customer development skills. Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a structured daily outreach schedule. Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable conducting presentations both virtually and in person. Ability to identify sales opportunities and effectively follow up with prospective and existing customers. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Experience within window coverings, home furnishings, interior design, building products, or a related industry is a plus. Travel Requirements Ability and willingness to travel in the field up to 25% of the time. Ability to complete overnight travel approximately once per month, depending on business needs.
